I've been traveling a lot lately, trying to make things happen. Something interesting happens when you're busy but your mind is able to wander. You start thinking about time - about how important it is to maximize every second of our too-short lives. And then you start to realize sometimes maximizing your time means allowing yourself to not do anything at all.
SOMNIUM opened Thursday, and we have one more scheduled performance, tomorrow @ 4:30pm at SOTA in Rochester, NY. Check out the above teaser, created by the talented Shawn Gray. There's also a pretty awesome vid of us dancing here.
We had our first rehearsal last night for Somnium, which will run in the Rochester Fringe Festival September 15th and 18th @ RAPA @ SOTA: Ensemble Theatre.
Here's the show's description:
"What dreams lurk beneath the surface of your waking thoughts? SOMNIUM knows. Restricted to a small platform, five "slumber-nauts," aided by abstract objects and an instrument from the land of Nod, trek through the hilarious and dangerous badlands of their nocturnal transmissions. Conceived and directed by Omen Sade of Dramatic Space, this production makes use of theatrical techniques developed by international theatre company Papa27, formed in Paris in 2014."
